NdS CROWDFUNDING

Neurodiverse Sport’s Call for Essential Support

At Neurodiverse Sport CIC, we are leading a fundamental shift in how sport embraces neurodiversity. As the only dedicated think tank in this space, we bridge cutting-edge research with expert-led training, research-backed strategies, and practical solutions. Our mission is to break down barriers and create meaningful, sustainable change at every level of sport—from grassroots participation to elite performance.

We are fierce advocates for neuroinclusion, champions of people-centered environments, and pioneers of a future where every individual is seen, valued, and developed as unique. But despite our proven impact, we receive no guaranteed funding. In a post-COVID sporting landscape, even our most basic charity-rate services are out of reach for many.

The Reality

We operate on razor-thin margins, driven by ethics and empathy—not profit. Neurodivergent athletes need understanding coaches, pathways must include neurodiverse scouts, and governing bodies must prioritise neuroinclusion to create real, lasting change in sport. Without financial support, vital work in research, training, and advocacy will go undone—work that has the power to shape the future of sport. Neurodiverse Sport exists because sport needs to change—and we need your help to continue this mission.

Our Call to Action

Neurodiverse Sport CIC is catalysing real change, but to truly create inclusive environments for neurodivergent athletes, participants, coaches, and volunteers, we need systemic support. Sport England must adapt its model to better support neurodivergent participation, and we are calling on all Sporting NGBs to commit to building a more inclusive future.

To drive this forward, we are launching a £60,000 crowdfunding campaign to fund key initiatives that will directly impact sports clubs, teams, and organisations.

Now is the time to invest in change. Join us in creating a sporting world where neurodivergent individuals are not just included—but truly valued and empowered to thrive.

How Will We Use Funding?

NdS in the Community

We will strengthen NdS in the Community, transforming it into a sustainable, fully operational programme that proactively connects with underserved communities, expanding access opportunities.

Incomes for E-Suite

We will allocate funding to cover core staff salaries, as our operations team have worked unfunded since December 2024, a situation that is unsustainable for long-term impact and growth.

Funding Specialist

We will work with a funding specialist to maximise investment opportunities and secure additional support, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our non-profit services.

Office Space

We will invest in a paid office space, transitioning from the free one we currently use, to create a more stable and professional environment for our growing operations.

Specialised Support

Refinement and optimisation of tailored processes, along with specialised training, are required to better support the neurodivergent team and enhance internal operations.

Interns and Volunteers

We will further invest in developing our team, ensuring they have the training, resources, mentorship, opportunities, and support needed to sustain and expand our impact.

Administrative Costs

We will use funds to cover essential overheads and administrative costs, ensuring sustainable growth and allowing us to focus on expanding our impact and delivering high-quality support.

Website and Resources

We will continue to develop the website and expand its resources, ensuring it remains a comprehensive, accessible, and user-friendly hub for engagement, education, and neuroinclusive sport.

Bespoke CRM

We will collaborate to develop and integrate a bespoke CRM, leveraging advanced language processing and generative AI to provide responsive, adaptive, and personalised support.

Community App

We will develop and launch our community app, designed to enhance understanding, empathy, and communication in sport, creating a more inclusive and connected environment.

Critical Research

We will continue to support ethical, values-driven research and transform those insights into practical strategies and solutions, ensuring meaningful, real-world impact in neuroinclusive sport.

Sports need neurodivergent people, and neurodivergent people need support to thrive in sport. Our work ensures this happens, but we can’t do it alone—we need your support to keep driving change.

Joined Up Thinking: Catalysing Key Partners

We are recognised by Sport England as leaders in this movement and are committed to igniting social transformation through inclusive and accessible sports initiatives. As part of our ongoing bid for support, we have been entrusted with delivering the outcomes of a pioneering collective, chaired by Mark Lawrie OBE, CEO of StreetGames. This collaboration unites key organisations, including UK Sport, the Autism Centre of Excellence, and Access Sport, alongside individuals with lived experience insights.

Together, we are developing a groundbreaking framework that will supercharge our impact, ensuring measurable and lasting change in neuroinclusive sport.

Other Ways to Support Our Mission

YouTube, Blogs, Social Media and Podcast

Beyond funding, you can help drive change by supporting our digital platforms, which bring the neurodivergent sports community together. Through powerful storytelling, we provide vital representation, amplify voices, and inspire systemic change. Our content showcases athletes and advocates breaking barriers in neuroinclusive sport, highlighting their journeys, challenges, and successes.

We are proud to feature incredible individuals such as Team GB Adaptive Judoka Rowan Kinsella, Hong Kong rower and aspiring Olympian Claire Burley, and elite gravel cyclist and YouTube sensation Maddie Nutt. To expand our reach, we are launching a podcast series, hosted by Alan Stracey, where candid interviews and compelling stories will empower, educate, and connect an even wider audience.

By engaging with our content—watching, sharing, subscribing, and spreading the word—you can help us raise awareness, influence decision-makers, and build a more inclusive sporting world. Every view, like, and comment plays a role in making sport more accessible for neurodivergent athletes, coaches, and communities.
