Courtney Buchner
Courtney is a neurodiverse, queer writer, comedian, actor and sports content creator.
As a content creator, Courtney has gained over 20k followers with multiple videos with millions of views. Her videos help bring sports to new fans, attempt to make new environments more accessible and somehow always find a way to add a comedic lens to most situations. She was recently a part of the BBC Content Creator lab highlighting creators excelling in their chosen field (sport) and this year she’s worked with brands such as NIKE, ADIDAS, FOUDYS, Arsenal and Chelsea Women's football teams, The FAWNL and the Sport and Recreation Alliance.
Alongside this work, she’s also just finished a sold out run of her stand up show, I Wrote this Show Last Night, at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After a few four star reviews, a sold out month and few interview pieces about it with the BBC in print, radio and TV (BBC LIVE) the show will now be making its London transfer in October to The Hope Theatre. Courtney is also an award-winning writer (winner of the BeStill Media Prize and the Best of Comedy award at Fuse International Festival) and she is currently writing a football-based TV Pilot (no, not Ted Lasso) titled Man On which follows The Rhinos Women's football team who have their funding taken away (after the men's team fail to make the Premier league) and have one last season to prove themselves.
Receiving her ADHD diagnosis later in life completely changed her understanding and acceptance/sense of self. It’s made Courtney incredibly passionate about helping others on their “neurospicy” journey (as Courtney calls it).
